PLATE PRODUCTS
Overview
For nearly 50 years, Tri-Braze has been the industry’s best performing, and largest selling specialty abrasion resistant steel. After all this time, it remains the flagship of the Tricon Wear Solutions product line. Tri-Braze has stayed as the industry leader due to its remarkable combination of strength, through – hardness, wear resistance, toughness, and weldability, which combine to outlast typical AR plate by 3 to 4 times. These properties are only achievable through proper alloy design, careful control of chemistry, removal of harmful elements such as hydrogen, sulfur and phosphorus, specially designed heat treatment, and diligent quality control. Unlike our competitors, who test their plate properties once every 40 tons of material, we test and report properties on every single plate. We believe that you deserve to know exactly what you are purchasing and we stand behind the performance and value of every plate we sell.

Overview
Super-C ® is a composite plate consisting of a low carbon steel base plate and a chromium carbide based wear resistant cladding. Tricon’s unique cladding process produces a plate with a surface that is harder, tougher, and more wear resistant than plate obtained by any other process. The low carbon steel base plate enables the plate to be welded, bolted or studded to existing structures, while the cladding provides a premier wear surface capable of working in the most hostile environments. Super-C ® can be successfully applied in applications involving severe abrasion and moderate impact. Super-C ® cladding gets its superior wear properties through careful metallurgical and process control. Maximum carbide concentration and optimum carbide alignment are achieved through a proprietary process and unique alloying, making Super-C ® superior to any other wear resistant plate available on the market. The herringbone pattern allows you to install either parallel to or perpendicular to the abrading material and achieve the same wear results, and the standard 20’ sections reduce weld and installation time in large sections.

BAR PRODUCTS
Overview
Special Treated Pins are Tricon Wear Solutions alloyed steel pins designed to provide high wear resistance and toughness. Tricon Special Treated Pins are produced from vacuum degassed, Calcium-Silicon injected, Ni-Cr- Mo steel pin stock that has been quenched, tempered and stress relieved to 360 BHN minimum. These properties are prerequisites to a Tricon proprietary treatment, which imparts a superior wear resistant surface and tough inner core. Hardness values typically are between 600 and 713 BHN, while core impact values are exceedingly high. Special Treated Pins are mill certified, ultrasonically inspected, heat treated, straightened and stress relieved to our specifications. Each pin is put through a different metallurgical treatment, depending on the application, to ensure maximum service life.

Overview
Triloy®H.T., is Tricon Wear Solutions’ quenched and tempered, machine straightened and stress relieved alloy bar for use in shafting applications. Triloy is based on an AIAI 4340 Ni-Cr- Mo chemistry. We conduct additional processing steps to ensure that Triloy is the strongest, most fatigue resistant shafting available on the market. Impact and fatigue resistance are enhanced by chemistry control, removal of harmful sulfur and phosphorus through vacuum degassing, and ladle calcium sulfide shape treatment. The bars are stress relieved after straightening to avoid “shape bounce back” when machining, and each bar is demagnetized to ensure no pickup of metallic dust to ruin bearing surfaces.

This is the same wire used in our Super-C Plate. It’s designed for use in high wear, low impact environments and is a chromium carbide overlay material that is intended for extreme abrasion and moderate impact applications. Commonly used in chutes, truck beds, cyclones, grizzlies and other harsh wear environments, it will outperform any chromium carbide overlay on the market.
Resources
Overview
Prime-Arc 11 is designed for use in small particle abrasion, and extreme wear environments. It’s an excellent choice for the most severe wear applications, such as screens, truck and dozer liners, and conveyors. PA 11 is a Chromium carbide based wire with additional carbide forming elements.
